Trusts, Estates & Probate Committee
The Trusts, Estates and Probate Committee focuses in the areas of estate planning, estate settlement, elder law, Medicaid planning, conservatorships, powers of attorney and advance directives, estate taxes and probate court practice issues.
The goals of the Committee are to provide a forum for lawyers in the greater New Haven area to discuss current practice issues, to provide updates on recent developments in the law and to organize CLE courses on a wide array of topics related to this practice area.
The Committee generally meets on a monthly basis between the months of September and May. Lunch meetings offer varying formats, including collegial roundtable discussions, guest speakers, and CLEs. An annual cocktail reception offers members the opportunity to interact socially with local probate court judges and colleagues.
